Michael Wirth (*1957) is responsible for publishing the Bach Anthology; an annual collection of the reflection lectures, cantata texts and theological-musical references. He studied both German and Romance language and literature, history and art history in Bonn, Lausanne and London. He earned his doctorate at the University of Lausanne.
Dr Wirth served as the correspondent for Switzerland at the Viennese art journal “Parnass”, was co-editor of the “Schweizer Monatshefte” and cultural correspondent at the Western Swiss office of the “NZZ”.
After a brief venture at the think-tank Avenir Suisse, Michael Wirth now works in fundraising and as an advisor in cultural affairs. He lives in La Conversion near Lausanne with his wife and three children.
